Microsoft Silverlight is a free and compact web browser plugin for rendering rich media content such as vector graphics, animations, audio and videos playback on desktop, portable PC’s and mobile devices as well. It aims much like Adobe Flash. It was first released in 2007 by Microsoft Corporation. This emphasizes on improving web interface for a better user experience. Silverlight provides more adaptable programming model. It supports VB, C#, AJAX, Ruby and Python. It can also integrate with existing Web applications. Microsoft Sliverlight is based on .NET framework. It supports text based graphics and multimedia stuff. Due to text support in its applications, search engines can access it easily and indexes content better than without text content.
