Editorial review

SMPlayer is a media player to play a wide variety of media formats. It is actually graphical front-end of MPlayer. It’s open source software. SM player was first released 2006. It supports cross-platforms and available for Linux and Windows. It has sleek interface and nice playback options. SMP can play CDs and DVDs with pre-installed filters of MPlayer. It remembers the settings for each file separately. It means that when you play a file and closed it without watching it complete, next time you open same file you don’t need to reconfigure the settings that you did last time such as playing point (seek bar) that you left last time, audio track, volume, subtitles and other settings. SMPlayer is a flexible player. Configure subtitles by changing fonts, colors etc. Switch among different audio tracks fast. Slow motion or speed up playback twice or more.
